The Archeological Research Center investigates and researches archeological cultural properties (sites and excavated artifacts), which are part of the region’s cultural heritage, and carefully preserves the various items found in the excavated sites.The museum also offers educational and awareness-raising activities such as revolving exhibits, lectures, tours of historic sites, magatama craft and other learning experiences designed to familiarize as many people as possible with archeological treasures. Also, the changing seasons can be enjoyed in Miya-yama Kofun Park, south of the museum, with cherry blossoms in spring and colorful foliage in autumn.
